After playing with the dresser I thought I should add that the metal stand it rests on does not have to be used. I have a feeling I might just use this dresser without it. It just sits on top of it. Yes one can bolt it down. The reason you may chose not to use the stand is the height of the dresser with the stand. Since this is such a stately piece of furniture it is actually quite tall. Would fit in a castle or huge bedroom suite. Myself being regular people, this might be too tall. Also, for most people the storage in this would not be enough and one might need to rely on a chest of drawers too. The drawes are not very long when pulled out. I would rate this limited space. I hope both reviews give you a good picture of what this dresser is about.
