This is a good looking, strong set of shelves that should be easy to bolt to the wall in the earthquake prone area where i live. it is easy and quick to assemble if you are strong, accustomed to doing this kind of work, and have the space and power tools. if you are not strong or do not have the space and tools, it's rather hard and time-consuming to assemble.. i bought two and tried it both by myself, with my own resources, and with the help of a stronger, better equipped friend. couldn't have finished the job by myself

this is a great bookcase for strength, safety and looks in relation to price. it's easy to assemble if you're strong, accustomed to assembly work, and have power tools and the devil to assemble if you aren't and don't. i bought two, am not, and don't. i asked a different friend for help with the second than with the first. the first one took 3 times as long to assemble as the second, and busted our knuckles. 2 shelves were totally resistant to my puny little screwdriver. the second was a breeze.
